I am now a truk person.
2015 F150 Lariat. 5.0 V8, heated/cooled front seats, leather, power folding mirrors, tow package, locking diffs, other such trim-specific accouterments.
Brought the wife and kid along to test drive. She was enthusiastic despite being the most expensive vehicle we’ve purchased.
Last night she said ‘I like this thing more every time I get in it’. So...win?
Oh, it doesn’t fit in my garage. Guess I need a track car now. What should I do about towing...
:D
On the somewhat sad note, I did trade my 2012 civic SI sedan in. However, I have reasons for it and it works for me at this point. I still have the Supra, so I still have a fun car with the correct transmission.

Congrats! I had a F350 that used that same cab/interior. It was a very nice place to be.
I hope it’s good to you!

Thank you. I’m really, really happy with it so far. It’s day 3 of having it :)

If you’re towing then you really should have stepped up into a F-teenthousand with the diesel. The F150 just isn’t capable enough.

Nice purchase!

Snow on the ground, v8, rwd, no weight over rear axle... Snownuts time!!

congrats! an F150 with the coyote is high on the wishlist for me.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 10:19 |

lol, it’ll pull 9000. I’m not too worried about it lugging a stripped civic on a dolly or something similar. Plus worst case, my buddy has an F250 super duty with a goose neck receiver. It’ll tow like double what mine will.

Thanks Shops

I have accidentally roasted the rear tires once or 9 times.

Yea, the F150 is plenty for towing most things. Most people don’t get near towing 9k lbs unless it’s for some commercial purpose.

grats on the Trug bruh
![]() 12/23/2019 at 10:31 |

Exactly. While not ‘the best’ F series or even F150 for towing (Ecoboost 3.5 is rated higher), I’m still confident this will pull the Supra to Las Vegas from MPLS if I choose not to drive it out for SIV next year.

When will my membership card arrive?

Nice! Mine doesn't fit in my garage either. I think you'll enjoy the truck. I will say that driving mine regularly has made me pretty tired of being in such a tall vehicle. So much so that I've been having my wife take the truck while I drive her pilot. Ha

I should lift it and put it on 24s with really knobby but super low profile tires and do chrome everything attached to the frame for validation from others!
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:06 |

I can’t have all the guys at Home Depot thinking I have a small weiner driving my tiny F150 around now can I?
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:08 |
|
Very nice! Mine doesn’t fit in my garage either. Ha!
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:29 |

So, when are you doing headers, mid pipe, mufflers?
Those 5.0 sounds ridiculous with some exhaust work :p
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:30 |
|
Nice buy! Is it height or length that prevents it from fitting the garage?
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:41 |
|
Shoulda got a Chevy!! Jokes
Good looking truck and nice features! What does one of those run now, after 4-5 years.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:42 |

Ccongrats! That thing looks HUGE! I like this one better than the new f150s with the revised front fascia. Hope you can enjoy it for a very long time.

Exactly. You get me.

It is the largest vehicle I have personally owned. Not the largest I have driven.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:46 |

It sounds great stock and since it is a daily, it won’t be getting mods like that.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:46 |
|
Height for sure, maybe length.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:46 |
|
Less than 30.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:51 |

Yeah that’s the problem my Dad has. He’s retiring this year and wants to buy a truck but I don’t even think the “mid-size” trucks will fit in their garage because of height. I told him he just needs to get something pre-1980s
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:57 |

That’s not a Thing. That’s an F150. This is a Thing:
![]() 12/23/2019 at 11:59 |

Probably about the same time as your Oppo gold membership card.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 12:00 |

ford performance makes a lowering kit that drops the front 1.5 inches and the rear 2.5. That should juuuuuust allow it to squeak in, maybe.

My work truck at the Flood Commission is a 2016 F-150 with the 5.0 . I don’t like the engine better than the 2.7 Ecoboost in my personal 2017 F-150, but it sure makes some glorious noises accelerating up on ramps.

Nice Ford 3150

Welcome to the my truck doesn’t fit in the garage club. It is the best club to be in.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 12:12 |

It’ll tow a car on an open trailer just fine.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 12:43 |
|
I didn’t want a boosted daily driver for reasons, but you’re definitely not wrong about the noises :)
![]() 12/23/2019 at 12:44 |

It technically justifies a track car for the open garage spot.

As you should! I was just poking fun at the peculiar font used for the F before -150, with the white paint it appears from a distance to say ‘3150'
![]() 12/23/2019 at 13:33 |
|
They’re gonna think your peen is so small......has a greater injustice ever occurred?
![]() 12/23/2019 at 13:35 |
|
The problem isn’t so much that the truck is bigger, it’s that the garage to house ratio is off. Just playing! Nice ride, good choice with the 5.0 over
the 3.5TT
. Should be a good to you for a long time.

Do all aluminum F-150 club members throw their full, metal toolbox overhand into the unlined bed? Do you ever just dunk on it?
![]() 12/23/2019 at 13:37 |
|
I kept doing this in the Toyota Sienna I was borrowing. I’m used to taking off briskly to not impede traffic....which translates to roasting the tires when you have a torque converter, FWD and 180hp more than usual.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 13:45 |
|
As one who doesn’t own a toolbox light enough to be thrown anywhere, I can’t say that I’ve tried :). As for liners and the like, I run a shell on mine because open truck beds are useless to me, and I really like bedrugs. They’re extremely durable, and they make a nice place for Doggos and truck camping.

my peen is only medium sized. but, it can talk to ghosts.

All day.
![]() 12/23/2019 at 13:53 |

I have never heard of that before and I had to read bedrugs again like 6 times before I realized it was a typo. I am envious of the dog space and freedom of a shelled pickup
